"Mercy" is a 15-year-old mare that came to us near death
from the
Harney county/Burns seizure. This special mare
has a heart of gold and a will to live. In just over 3
months, she has gone from being so weak she could barely
stand from starvation and neglect to carrying a
rider! According to Mercy's foster mom, she has the
kindest, gentlest soul and loves to be loved. Mercy is
broke to ride but has never had any extensive training.
She does not buck, rear or have any bad habits. Mercy
will ONLY go to the very best of homes where she will be
pampered like the Queen she is in our hearts. If you
think you can give Mercy the future she deserves, please
contact us. To read the blog written by Mercy's
foster mom and follow her recovery,

"Lyric" is a black and white paint mare that came to us
from the
Harney county/Burns seizure. Imagine our
surprise when this paint mare had an appaloosa colt!
Lyric is currently being worked with to gain her trust
and be gentled. Lyric will need a kind, experienced
horseperson to continue her training. She will be a
challenge and will only go to a home that has
experience with trust issues in adult horses. "Dustin",
her beautiful baby boy has a wonderful home waiting for
him when he is old enough to be weaned. If you are
interested in adopting, fostering or providing training
for Lyric, please contact us. |

"Comet" is a long yearling that came to us from the
Harney
county/Burns seizure. Comet is halter broke and can be touched
everywhere except for his mouth area. Comet is extremely
fearful of his nose/mouth area being touched and we have yet to
help him overcome this. Comet is very small for his age due to
the malnutrition he has suffered. We are hoping that with a
good diet and proper care, he will have a growth spurt. Comet
has been gelded and has recovered nicely. Comet is a beautiful
boy that has been waiting far too long for his forever family.
If you are interested in adopting or fostering Comet, please
contact us. |

"Nickers" is an
approximately 21-year-old mare who is recovering from starvation
and neglect.
We would like to give a special thank you to her foster family
that has done a fantastic job with her rehabilitation. She is a
very sweet girl and is doing great. Nickers is for light riding
only due to her slight sway back. Nickers will also have to be
eased into being used as muscles have a tendency to atrophy from
starvation and will need time to build up and strengthen again.
Nickers is waiting for her forever home. |

"Connie" has been physically recovered in rescue from starvation
and neglect. She is a 4-yr-old, 1/2 TB, 1/2 appaloosa mare
standing at approximately 15 hands. Connie has been haltered in
the past but needs an experienced, loving, patient, experienced,
training home. Connie is becoming increasingly more curious of
people but needs to learn to trust and receive consistent handling.
If you are interested in providing training, foster care or
adopting, please contact us.

seizure
in Nebraska where 200 horses survived and many more
perished from starvation. There were over 30 stallions
running with the mares. Izzy is halter broke but will
need an experienced person to continue with her
training. Izzy has been vet checked and is in foal with
a winter baby. If you can give Izzy and her unborn
foal an adoptive or foster home, please contact us. |

Adoption Fees:
Our
adoption fees vary depending on the horse. Many of our
horses have and will be placed at no charge to approved
homes, others that have incurred veterinary or training
fees may have an adoption fee to assist in the
reimbursement of these costs. Sound, trained and young
horses will also have a reasonable adoption fee.
Adoption fees can range from $100.00 to $500.00
for these horses. Our priority is finding good homes
that have the financial ability to provide lifetime care
for our horses. Donations are gladly accepted and always
appreciated as are fuel cost donations if your horse is
being delivered. If you are interested in
adopting, please contact us and we can discuss this
personally with you. |
