Our Newest Rescue Baby
Miracle
We
rescued a new orphan baby filly yesterday. She was just
a tiny thing.
I was
asked to take the little tiny one found by some folks in
Lakeview. She was spotted standing in the woods next to
her moms dead body.
Her
mom
had been eaten by predators. We are not sure what she
died of but we know it wasn't good.
Not a
Mustang, but just something a rancher or farmer tossed
out in the mountains. Sadly, this is happening a lot in
that area. There are dozens of domestic horses out
there.
I went out
and got the little one. She is not at all friendly yet
has a BIG attitude for such a small thing. The vet tech
stopped by today and said she is maybe 8 to 10 weeks
old. Click Here
for updates.
EVEA is a federally
recognized 501c3. All donations are tax deductible.

We serve the greater
State of Oregon, Nevada, Northern California and Southern
Washington. EVEA Horse Rescue has placed over 500 horses,
mules, ponies and donkeys into new homes in the last 9
years.
We believe that each and every horse in the right hands
has the potential of being an incredible companion.
Please consider adopting one of the many horses waiting
for you in rescue.
Our first priority is matching horses with approved homes. Veterinary references and a home visit are required prior to
adoption.
All of our horses are adopted out on a "no breeding"
contract.
Statistics show there are far too many
horses and not enough good homes. Unwanted horses
suffer the neglect and abuse we see daily. These poor souls
fill the trucks of slaughter buyers shipping these American
born horses to Mexico and Canada for slaughter.
Stop the madness, stop the breeding.
Our ultimate goal
is to
encourage people to stop the over-breeding of horses. Let's
put the horse slaughter plants and horse rescues out of business,
one horse at a time.
Once starved and
slaughter bound, these 2 youngsters, Comet and George were
rescued by EVEA. George has been adopted and can be
seen on the updates page, Comet is still available for
adoption and can be seen on the adopt a horse page.
